EventBox — Privacy policy
Last updated: 4 September 2026
EventBox is the access-control application used by an event's staff: it reads badge QR codes, prints badges at the desk and keeps the record of entries. It is not aimed at the general public — a device only works once activated with a code issued by the event organiser.
Who processes the data
The event organiser is responsible for their attendees' data. Enseigne Digitale publishes the application and hosts the platform on their behalf, as a processor: the data is not used for any other purpose.
What the application uses on the device
The application requests no other access: no contacts, no location, no photos, no microphone.
- The camera, solely to read a badge QR code. No picture is stored, transmitted or kept: the image is analysed in memory and discarded.
- Local storage, to keep the list of expected attendees and the entries waiting to be sent. This is what allows access control to continue when the network drops in the middle of a hall.
- The local network, to reach the event server when it is installed on site and the Internet is unavailable.
What is sent to the organiser's server
This information only goes to the organiser's server. It is passed to no third party.
- Entries: the badge scanned, the date and time, the checkpoint and the staff member on the door.
- The terminal state: the name given to it, the platform, the application version and its last activity — so that the organiser knows which devices are in service.
- Badge printing requests made at the desk.
What we do not do
- No advertising, no ad tracking, no profiling.
- No audience measurement, no third-party analytics.
- No sale or sharing of data with third parties.
Retention and deletion
Data kept on the device is erased when the terminal is deactivated from the application, when the organiser revokes the device, or when the application is uninstalled.
Data kept on the server falls under the policy of the event organiser, who is responsible for it.
Your rights
To exercise your rights of access, rectification or erasure over an event's data, contact the organiser of that event, who is the controller. Enseigne Digitale assists them on request.
